Surface Restoration

Each job has different requirements. We will examine your walls/ceilings and determine the proper steps needed to insure a quality outcome.

We have various options available for surface restoration, allowing for any budget.

Full Screen Mesh and Full Skim (Best)

This technique is used when:

  • spiderweb cracks cover the surface
  • paint bonding issues resulting in peeling surface
  • multiple stress cracks occuring over surface
  • any combination of these issues

Materials: Fiberglass screen mesh and USG Durabond

Full Screen Mesh and SprayPlast (Good)

This technique is used when:

  • more cost-effective than the full skim method is desired

Materials: Fiberglass screen mesh and SprayPlast

New Construction

SprayPlast over Drywall (Good)

This technique is used:

  • in new construction or major remodeling.
  • over finished drywall, giving the whole surface a 'level 5' finish.

Materials: SprayPlast over finished drywall.

Veneer Coat Plaster over Blueboard (Best)

This technique is used:

  • Instead of drywall in new construction when the look and feel of plaster is desired,

            but not the cost.

that increases the bond between it and veneer coat plaster.

(A two-coat application of USG's Diamond Brand Veneer Finish Plaster   is applied

to a thickness of 3/32" and trowelled smooth for a ceramic-like finish.)
